I have earned my teacher certification in New York State, and I have trained teachers around the world in teaching math and STEM subjects. My experience includes tutoring children, including those with learning differences, and young adults for around ten years. My students consistently make progress and succeed measurably with my help. My location is in upper Westchester/lower Putnam County, but I can travel to you or to another meeting point. I offer online tutoring as well.

As of 2022, rates for individual tutoring are as follows.
Elementary level subjects: $80/hr
Middle school (grades 6-8) subjects: $85/hr
High school subjects and SAT/standardized test prep: $90/hr
Travel cost within a half hour of my home is IRS mileage rate (currently 62.5¢ per mile) plus 40¢ per minute of round-trip travel. (Longer travel will require an additional premium for tolls and time; contact for information.) Amounts under $5.00 will not be charged, so if you can meet at the Barnes and Noble in Cortlandt Town Center, you can save travel costs that way.
Tutoring is also available online or in my home, if you wish to save travel costs.
A sliding scale for financial need may also be available.
If you are interested in group tutoring, please contact me. Two to four children in a group will be $90 per hour together. Additional students will be $20 per student.
Payment Policy:
Payment for the month is due at the start of the month by cash or check. Credit card billing is available with a service fee, as are week-by-week payments. Payments for any tutoring lessons missed due to emergency or my absence (see Cancellation Policy) will be applied to the coming month, or refunded if tutoring is discontinued.
Please note that tutoring payments are handled differently from class payments; classes follow the terms set out for their payments.
Cancellation Policy:
I request notice of vacation or absence at least two weeks in advance. If I need to cancel a session, I will make every effort to reschedule it at least three days in advance, and I request that my clients do the same. If this isn’t possible due to illness or emergency, the client should make every effort to reschedule another session to keep the number of sessions constant.
Any cancellation without rescheduling, other than due to an emergency, that happens within three days will be charged half the tutoring fees, minus any travel fees. A same-day cancellation will be charged the full hourly fee. Exceptions can be made for urgent situations at my discretion.
